I made my chatelaine from the handle of a pretty spoon. I reenact the 18th century so I wear mine on me when I reenact. I cut the spoon part off, folded the spoon over and drilled holes in the top of the spoon. Then I just used chain from Michaels as the hangers for all my doodads. It hooks right on my apron strings and is very pretty.
