I agree! Have had and used the Gingher snips (4", I think) for years, but if I'm using them a lot, as in trimming up the loose threads on the backs of a pile of blocks, my fingers get sore - I don't think I have particularly fat fingers, but they seem to rub.

The 5" Gingher crafts are perfect for many uses. A better fit and very versatile. I do love the Ginghers, but the big ones are heavy! They do have a light weight line, but I don't know anyone who has tried them.
