I like hand quilting too. I have tried machine in the ditch quilting but not free style yet. Want to try it but I think I still prefer hand work. I use a hoop also. I think you can keep the backing "in line" better when you can turn it over and see how your doing. Besides it can be a "take along" project or a "sit outside and enjoy the air and scenery" project. :lol: I love the heart quilt! I just saved the pic to my file to use as inspiration. Someday I'll have a CD with all of you guys' work. :lol: I like scrappy cause you can use all the little pieces you have without making sure there is enough.
