Some of the most beautiful quilts have fabrics other than 100% cotton in them. It takes an expert Quiltologist to be able to incorporate "outside the box" fabrics and make them look good. The old Crazy Quilts had silk, velvet, wool, etc., in them and were fantastic. My most treasured quilt is one my mother made (all by hand) and some of the white in it is from Bull Durham bags. I think it will be beautiful and hope to see some pictures when done.
