New spin on the same topic:
I have always wondered if there was a right and wrong side to the blade. Does it matter which side you flip the blade to before you put it on the cutter? Does it matter which side of the cutter you put it on? Is one side for left handers and one side for right handers. The right side works for me but I wondered. I also got a sharpener and it doesn't work for me. I may not know how to do it right and then it may be one of those duds. 1/2 price at Hancocks so I give up a sandwich at the deli! I have cut through aluminum foil and it does put some sharp back on a dull blade but doesn't seam to last. I have also sewn threw aluminum foil to take the blunt edge (burr?) off of my needle. Placed the foil on top of a piece of fabric and sewed till the burr was gone. New needle. The foil has sharpened my scizzors too but if you use it on your best pair and it ruins them it is not my fault. 8-)
