At the moment some of the funny things my grandma used to say has escaped me except for one: she'd say "I'll be done in two shakes of a lambs tail" I told my now 17 yr old grandson that one day when he was little and he just thought that was the funniest thing he ever heard. And yes, I can relate to the things dad said that cannot be repeated here.
Grandma was Pennsylvania Dutch and she would always say "the bread is all" and of course we would come back with "all what?" She would mean that it was all gone. She would get so mad at us for making fun of her. Oh how I miss her.
