Most definitely. We always get a male puppy and have it fixed before it learns to lift it's leg. He generally squats and when he has accidents inside, at least it's not on the furniture. Also, he doesn't ride on people's legs, especially guests when they come to visit. And, it does calm them down. So, if you aren't interested in breeding, then I would have him fixed. Sally
