    I love the blue but that looks like the same shade of blue through out the quilt. I wonder if it would look just as well with different shades of blue?
    I am still going to use cw fabrics and if I have to use a pattern more then one time then so be it! LOL! I was going to use scrappy backgrounds (look closly at DJ's quilt) but then I do also have a bolt of muslin and keep going back to that.
    Right now I am wondering if I should use shashing or not. I see that Jane didn't but other people have and the quilts I saw were spectaculer.

    Yeah, the blue I used for that picture was the same throughout. And the sashing is pieced too... it's the storm at sea setting, which I love.

    I might be reverting to my original scrappy plan, things are just not going right today and I must admit I'm feeling rather despondent.

    Wheather you use a sashing or not would also depend on what size you want your quilt to be.

    True. I kind of don't really mind... whatever it ends up is just fine. It's the amount of fabric that's my problem. :-)

    Is anyone going to actually use theirs? Like as a bed quilt? After putting so much work into it, it will be hard to actually use it and risk it getting dirty! lol

    I would like to use mine.... I don't have a single wall in the house I live in that's big enough to hang it. I have quilt racks, but then it would get dusty and I'd only be able to see a small portion of hte quilt.

    I like the thought of it being used.... but then can't bear the thought of it getting dirty, or worse, getting a hole in it! lol

    I plan to use mind. Who would I leave it to that would appreciate it. Only another quilter, which there isn't any other in my family.

    i'm going to use mine for a picnic quilt.

    i don't care if it gets dirty and used up - i'll make another when that happens.

    I'm planning to hang mine. I have a number of large unused wall space. At least, that's the plan for now. We'll see how it looks when it's done. Might need to be out on my bed!!
