Since I got to make my August block early, I had the urge to start putting my blocks together. Since I decided I wanted a square quilt, I am adding a center block which have wreaths for each season.

VickiM...........You did a fantastic job making your bright, sunny & warm quilt block for the month of August 2012. It is perfectly okay that you are not comfortable with PP'ing & chose your own pattern. We just want eveyone to feel good about their blocks & have a quilt they will be proud of at the end of the year. GOOD JOB!! Thank you for sharing with all of us here on the quilting board.

Jeanine.............What a great idea adding the extra blocks to make your quilt square, by the end of the year. Your Seasonal Wreath blocks are going to add so much to your quilt. All of your blocks have turned out awesome. We appreciate you sharing a group photo of all of them together. Such inspiration!! Thank you so much for sharing with all of us.

Vicki, Love your block. After doing 1 block (and I love PP), and only half finishing another (I'm doing 3 of these for grands) I wish I'd changed course just for the time factor.

Jeanine, All your blocks are pretty. I haven't thought that far ahead

Hi Mimi............I am just checking in with you today, to see how your three blocks for your grands are coming along for the month of August!! Before you know it, it will be time to post the September BOM for 2012. I know everyone is going to love the choice, as it is so pretty & much quicker to make than this one was. Keep on making your blocks & be sure to share pictures, as you get them done!! I just had to add a little teaser clue for everyone!! Hope everyone is having a Great Day.

I think the August blocks are my favorite. Everyone's blocks are beautiful! Makes me want to try paper pieceing again.

Ok, I am Linda come Lately... this is my first month doing the block of the month. DH has my sewing table in his workshop while he tries to put the finishing touches on the sewing table he is replicating. Hope to get sewing tomorrow. I love pp. Everyone's blocks look great! I know, my kitty does the same thing, especially when I am trying to quilt a large quilt. He seems to think that all that fabric is just for him. LOL Very beautiful cat Anael!

Anael..........what a precious little sewing partner that you have there!! I have one too & she loves to sit right next to my sewing machine, while I am trying to sew. She thinks I can just sew right around her!! What would we animal lovers do without our little partner's? Thank you for sharing your fun picture today. I hope you get to sew soon. I just love the three fabric's sitting right behind your baby.

I think Anaels' sewing partner is meditating on the angles to help her.
