New to PP and new to quilting, but I was determined to do this block. It was fun and I learned what not to do (after the second time ) Hope I can get the picture up.

OK Here's my second try to get a picture of my church posted. I'm planning on doing more embellishing once the quilt is completed, because it's too hard to quilt around any 3D items when I put the quilt on my LA Thanks Sulabug for such a great choice of a block.

I had forgotten some of the tricks of the trade about removing the paper easily. I used to do a lot of PP

here is my church -- unfinished -- I still have to embrioder the cross and a door pull. I have no greens here so the bottom won't get finished until I get to Olympia.I had forgotten some of the tricks of the trade about removing the paper easily. I used to do a lot of PP

After a few bad starts, it turned out not too badly, although I can see a couple places that aren't perfect by any means. I did do the door section twice, as I finished the first one and decided I didn't like the door colour, so this is the second set. Still not sure whether to do a cross or something else over the door, it still looks a little plain to me.

Lauren, It looks like a photograph! I love the window in the door. It makes it very welcoming along with the sidewalk. Wonderful rock fabric! I love it.Originally Posted by laureneberhard

Hi, my name is Aretta, this is my first time doing BOM and also p/p, got new lap top for xmas so hope I get my version of the church block to show up . Was fun but sorta bewildering at times. My church is far from perfect but here it is. Almost forgot to say lost or was taken by my Boston terrier what was left of church fabric so had to put window in the upper room

Anne, You did a great job! I like the warmth of your fabric choices. I will look forward to seeing more of your blocks in the coming months. I am working on my first block also. I need to get off this computer and work on it. :roll:Originally Posted by Anne
