Thanks to thimblebug for the measurements.
Not perfect but, now that I have done one, the kinks will be worked out and the next ones will be better. This will be for a sister who loves butterflies and is Irish. (well, all the family is Irish!!).
Of course it will have a bottle in it. ( wonder if the Irish Whiskey bottle will fit into the tote!)
Happy Patrick's Day!

Oh Tapper, I just love your Tote. Love the butterfly...did you embroider it? What a neat idea....could embroider a picture of a wine bottle.

Fay....REALLY like your fabric. I looked for something along those lines but didn't see anything I liked as well as yours.

Thanks.
No, the butterfly is just one of those iron-on patches. I have it sewn on now...the glue on the back didn't stick well.

Default WIP for March Project

Still a WIP for my March project. For my wine bag I practice making Oak Leaves using black thread on a lime green solid. The inside is an Autumn Feast Print that has a small amount of the same line green running through it. Just have to work on finishing with top binder and sew in bottom piece. The square next is an off shoot Idea I had using the same handle method to make a Fourth of July square box with handles on all four sides and solid red lining.

Hopefully I will get both of these projects finished up next month.

Jenniky, super idea On the square bag, really cute and so many uses. Wondering was the oak leaves on your lining fabric for your pattern? Nice job on both. Btw I was think about you on Thursday when we drove thru Golden Valley on our way back from Laughlin.

Hi Judy,

I'm sure as you traveled down our hwy I was at the sewing machine working on my latest projects. I have several different quilt tops in various stages and I also have one sandwiched on my quilt frame. That is where I had the idea to test the template I made of the oak leaves on the wine bottle project. I'm hand quilting on the frame however I did use the machine to quilt the March Project.

Hopefully you can see the stitching... I drew the lines connecting the leaves freehand. Figure at the rate I am working on it; I might have it done by summer. Now my Fourth of July Box is going to be a great gift for Fourth of July picnic. My plan is to make a sparkling floral arrangement in it to sit on the table of festivities.
