Ladysuds, BOM begins in January & ends in December. Each month participants view the BOM forum icon fo ir that month & get the Instructions for that block which usually includes a site link where to find templates & what the block layout is. You choose your colors for your quilt which can be scrappy or monochromatic (matching colors but different fabric) and make your block. If you find it difficult, the month's host can help as well as other participants. When you finish your block please post it on the Month's Picture thread so others can ooooh & ahhhh over it! After the 12 months you can make a quilt & post a pic of your finished quilt. BOM is a slow process giving you plenty of time to make your block. I hope this helps!

    Default Oct Block Finished FINALLY!

Hey everyone, better late than never! Now on to November if I can find it in this room where it's a mess. I got a new computer and it wasn't planned so everything was pitched aside to accommodate this huge thing! It's a Desktop All-in-One and it's Win8 which I thought was going to get the best of me but I've learned a lot. Still a lot more to learn and to sew....! lol

    Hugs,
    Cajun

cajun, Did you see the post about Easy HST where you cut 2 strips, right sides together, sew down both long sides then use the 45 degree line on your ruler lined up on the stitching line on one side & cut a triangle. Open it out & you have your HST. Since there are over 100 in this block it would be a time saver.
