OK, Here is my 5th and final block for this quilt. Its a vintage pattern called Greek Cross. The only thing I changed was to add the red center square. The pattern called for it to be all green.

Thanks Judy for another great mystery ride! Life got in the way but I got my one block finished.

I like it so much that I am leaving it hang for a while on my small design wall by my machine.

My points don't all match and I didn't realize I had 3 very dark pieces on the top until it was done but that's okay. The off white squares on the corners actually have a pink hue that I didn't notice when I pulled them from my 3" square bin. It adds a different flair.

A special thanks to everyone for posting your wonderful block creations.

Connie

Those are such beautiful blocks.I love the way they are all looking. I made one complete and ready to sew the 9 patch of the second one together. I might make 1 more and make a runner. My living room is a periwinkle ( bluish/ lavender)pastel. So this color of purple looks good with it. I'll post when I get the runner together. This was a fun surprise. Thank You Judy.

Very pretty blocks, Connie and Mary, great colors in both.

Jan 5 beautiful blocks, what are you going to do with them? I thought you said you were making a wall hanging.

Retired - this is lovely, the corners look like there were put there on purpose!

Mary - beautiful block, but then, I'm partial to purples. Have nothing purple to wear or in my house, but love the colors. Oh wait, I do have a purple wall hanging in the den made from 4 identical paper piecing blocks when Poker Diva was doing the block a week from a Carol Doak book.

I agree with m-fay - all the blocks are wonderful

Angelia thank you sooo much for the lovely table mats you sent, with the sweet pumpkin pattern. Just in time for Thanksgiving dinner! I tried to post a pictrue but my camera seems to have died -- the battery won't charge, and it is old so think I will get a new one. Not worth the money to buy just a bettery!

I'm making a wall quilt that is set on point. I'm currently in the process of quilting it. As soon as I finish that and the binding I'll post a pix. Its about 34" square.

Chasezz, what a stunning runner. You make we want to go home and make one right now. Wouldn't that be beautiful in rich Christmas fabric tones.

I enlarged it to 12 1/2" unfinished to match the Star in this way:

Flying geese for each corner patch are made from one feature fabric measuring 3"x 5 1/2" and two background squares 3"x3". The two HSTs for each corner patch are from one feature fabric square 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and one background square 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" (same HST method used for Star). Trim resulting two HSTs to 3" square. Make four corner patches that will measure 5 x 1/2" x 5 1/2" each.

The sashing pieces are 2 1/2" x 5 1/2". The center block is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".

Assemble patches, sashing pieces, center block in rows as you would a nine patch block.

Here is my ready-to-quilt table topper that will be a hostess gift if I get it done by the weekend!
