Dotty, I read the strips are 2.5 x 12.5 in neutral.

Would love to follow along on train rider #19. Sounds like fun, especially when we get to use up scraps. I am not real far on the train cars thus far on this trip, but heading to the food car to get some energy to move forward.

As for Kaffe Fasset fabrics, I am so over them now. I did a boom swap with them so I could implement them into a quilt. Oh gosh, was so difficult to get them to be cohesive with anything else. I just gave up and meshed the fabrics together into some big hst and into a quilt on point. Will sew the rest of the fat quarters for the backing and be done with them. They are great for collage though. That is where they will end up with the scraps.

Carol....plaid blocks look fantastic! Your quilts are really going to be so cool..

Donnamarie....My first train ride too. I am way out of comfort zone working on so many projects at once. I prefer to stay on top of things too and have managed well...but I so hear ya...

Quiltermomma... Kaffe fabrics are beautifully bright, which I love, but for some reason, I haven't worked with them yet. I had some FQ and used some in appliqué but that is the extent. None of the fabrics have not appealed to me to make an entire quilt. I'll beware. Lol...

Yes, the neutral strips are 12.5 x 2.5 - I think Dotty had a typo

and the squares you will cut on Saturday are the 2.5 x 2.5, color to be specified then.

I love Kaffe Fassett fabrics but I never know what to do with them.

I think I screwed up my fabric choices for the HST's. Darn! This is my first mystery quilt so it's certainly going to be a surprise!

Oh, man! I'm still sewing my squares together from the 1st clue. haha I haven't done a mystery for a while and I was late getting on the train but I'm trying to catch up. Now your moving on to 19? Man, you're tuff. lol I do like the sounds of 19. My son and his wife would like the monotone. No time for snacks, gotta sew!

Geez, HST are my new middle initials -- I have made soo many of them that I learned to sorta enjoy making them. Looking forward to the next train ride.

SusieQ sometimes what you think is wrong, turns out to be fantastic. Don't despair.

dd there is no rush to the finish line. It is up to you to move at your own pace. Lots of time, someone posts their finished mystery a month or two after the last clue is given.

Aurora I used to hate making HSTs until I found a method I like, and now, like you, I don't get upset with them. LOL

Oh, I know. Mystery 16 is still hanging there with the backing. I will get to it one day. Thanks for the encouragement though.
