This is the first mystery I have done that I like all the variations people are posting. That says a lot about the design!

I've finally got back to working on mine. Found out on Monday that a elderly friend has been very sick and slowly recovering, so I hurried up and made a lap quilt for him. Took the label to work and had a bunch of people that know him sign it. He comes and visits us at work quite often.

I brought him the quilt this AM, so now I can get back to finishing up the mystery. I've got my borders planned out and am curious how it's all going to look.

This is my first block. I made such a mess of it. I'm so tired and my sewing shows it. Terrible seams. I'm so sorry Judy. Your pattern is beautiful I sure messed it up. I love my fabrics so I will try again in a few days. To much going on here now.

Your fabrics Are beautiful. So rich. You are wise to set it aside and try again. It would be such a shame to not finish this beauty. (We have all had to do this, probably more than once. Tee-Hee-Hee!)

Susie: I chuckled about the ADD comment because I often wonder that about myself as I grow older.

Chasezzz: Lovely!

Mary: Very pretty block. I hope things calm down for you soon.

No sewing for me since Sunday. 5 days and 1 evening class as a substitute teacher and an overnight with 3 of my great nieces. I am exhausted! My niece told me I need to slow down. Of course, it was her 3 girls I stayed with overnight on Tuesday and got them off on Wednesday to school plus I picked her up when she returned her rental car last night. Blessed though.

Is anyone doing anything with the HST that is left over after trimming the snowball block? I have made them all into HST & I'm thinking about using therm for a border, if there's enough. Any one else using them?

I couldn’t discard them & have also sewn them together. I’ve thought about using them in a variety of ways-border or part of a pieced backing but no decision yet. I had JUST enough red for 3 more blocks to make a 3 X 4 block quilt & I'm sewing those right now. My blocks aren’t put together yet but I’m anxious to see the completed project. I love this mystery!

I pieced mine into pinwheels that I may use for the border.

dd, I haven't tossed them yet but they look too small to do anything with. But I haven't ruled it out. I love the fabrics I used.
Retiredteacher- haha it's a scary thought!!! (ADD)
lawsonmugs- that's a gorgeous block!! Please keep going!

Chasezzz, Love your reds & pinks. Almost looks eatable.
Lawsonmugs, Sometimes life just gets in the way and you have to go where it says. For awhile anyway.
dd, I have given up sewing that size. I have a whole bunch of those corners from other projects and there they sit. It's too hard to even iron them nowadays. But I love the idea of it.
