Just finished Kansas while listening to the weather reports. We have tornadoes out west of us, due to move into our area in a few hours. So we may spend some time in the "fraidy hole" tonight.

We are safe here in our home; Governor has declared our county a disaster area. 97 tornadoes in Kansas last night. What a week for our block to be Kansas. Here is mine, complete with sunflowers- our state flower.

Wow glad to hear you are safe from the tornados. Beautiful blocks. I'm not sure if I will get mine done this week or not. I habe a baby quilt that is half quilted that has to be done by Sunday. ANother one that isn't started needs to be done by MAy 18th. And I have a couple of prom dresses to fix. I guess I had better get off of here and get to work. I will get caught up in a few weeks.

Tomilu, I'm so glad you made it thorough the weather. What a crazy week for your area.

Great blocks MonaLisa, PokerDiva, Tomilu, wvhill, and paintmeJudy. Mine looks so different that I had to check to see if I was on the right week.

Here's a song to sew by this week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qoymGCDYzU

but at least it's done----maybe next week will be better Name: april 14_1073.JPG

ckcowl, maybe this will work for you -- it does for me. I always start at the middle when sewing the 2 halves together. Pin to make sure your pieces are dead on together, then sew to one edge, come back and sew from the middle to the other edge.

Tomilu, so glad you & your family are safe and sound.

Love everyone's blocks. Great job everyone.

I spent the weekend with my sisters celebrating the middle one's birthday (there are 4 of us). Had a great time shopping, playing dominoes, talking & watching movies. Just got home (it's about a 2 1/2 hr drive) so wanted to post my blocks. Here are the blocks I finished last week. They are: Row 1: New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico,
Row 2: New York, North Carolina, North Dakota. These were all pretty easy to complete. Hope everyone has a great week.

    Iowa and Kansas

I'm a little bit behind, but I caught up. So here is my Iowa and Kansas. Everyone elses blocks are beautiful and I will love seeing what everyone does with their blocks. Hopefully I can keep up from now on, but if not, I'll catch up again.

    Glad everyone is safe.
