Here's my scrappy-pieced 4-patches from the greens I'd pulled for the BH mystery quilt (that I ended up not doing). They're prettier in person; the lighting's not that great at 9pm. I'll call these my "darks", and will use the pinks for the "mediums", and probably the yellow yardage I bought for the "lights". I do have a bunch of orange scraps that would be good for the "lights", though. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.

I got my 12 blocks done today. I'm lucky; I've been working all year on getting scraps cut (squares from 2" to 6", strips from 1 1/2" to 5"), so just grabbed box they were in & pulled from there. I have a whole boxful of each size. I even had some chocolate squares in there from another project (everything is made better with chocolate, right?) I'm seeing some very interesting blocks so far posted...
