I'm running to catch up to the train. However, even if I grab on to the caboose, I'm gonna be way behind on this ride. My sewing machine is "in for a cleaning and minor repair" at this time. If I can't get caught up when I get it back, I will do it at a later date. Love reading all the chatter and seeing all the color combinations. Looking forward to seeing all the finished quilts from this ride. Thank you, Judy, for providing another fun mystery ride!

My DH's mother and grandmother are in a quilting bee and when it's their turn to bring a top to be quilted they have used, in a pinch,"cheater cloths" for theirs. If you quilt them on the lines that can look like it's been quilted in the ditch and can look very close to a pieced quilt.

Hi Betty!
I'm just 15 miles to the south of you in Linden and the sleet is starting to stick.
Think I'll just spend the day sewing as well. Sure hope we don't lose electricity!

Interesting, might be something fun to try, but think I like the satisfaction of putting something together myself, even if it isn't for more reason than to see if I can do it. thanks for all the comebacks on that. I always learn something here.

I learned in Ohio (on a visit) not to stand under the beautiful icicles hanging off the roof tops, I was admiring the colors from the sun shining through them when my DDIL almost tackled me to move me away from the roof line. She was so right within a few minutes several of the icicles were falling like swords from the roof of the second story.

Sry sunlite - should have made this a 3-hour mystery instead of 3 weeks!

Looking forward to riding along with all of you. By the way I live in the far east corner of Texas by Ark. and La. and it is sleeting here and expected to stick so this is a good day to stay in my sewing room.

FINALLY done! Some have been done 3x or more! They're as close as they're going to get. The dark constant is fabric I found in a bag from an old quilt I was working on. It's navy with white dots. I have no idea what it was meant to be, but it is perfect for this scrappy quilt. My lights are leftovers from the GIMQ I just finished.<script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/4731abff/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>
