My block 30 - it turned out more pink than I had thought it would (the darker magenta was a substitute for the original purple in the book, that I thought was too dark).

It was more a question of bad choices in artificial light last night, so in the cold light of day I wasn't so keen - I came up with a bull's eye in the middle in two tones of green to try and calm the whole thing down. I don't mind it so much now, but when it's next to all the others, if I still don't like it, I've had some suggestions of bleaching some of othe pieces, or adding green from a permanent ink pen. I'll hold on those ideas for a while and see what I think in a few days.

Another one down. Here is my #30. I thought the center was a little plain, so embroidered a heart there. Have to remember when I put it in the quilt to put it right side up

I noticed the candy cane potential early on with these blocks. Got to stop thinking: food!
After I get going on these blocks, I'll be thinking: sew, colors, stitch, straight, no wonkies...no energy, need a snack...aw, geesh!
Judy, just love your #30! I'll love my first one when it gets finished...I get lots of interruptions around here, but step by step, I get closer to actually getting started, lol!
If things don't shape up, SOMEBODY is going to have to cook and clean for themselves...mama will be behind the sew-cave door!

uh, yes ma'am! I'll get right on it...this weekend, lol!
I have all fabrics stacked and started pulling for different blocks, but I have a favorite combination in mind...now to just decide which block to put them in first?
Might as well go with #9 since it's the first one on the list.
