Here is my Honey Bee block, before & after "bees".
Freshly appliqued, it needs some serious "Blocking"

Another 6-inch block for that red-and-green quilt

My sister made me make this early. I did it as a May block! I have nothing to do now until June 15th! Oh, I have kids and grandkids coming home. I guess I'll clean house and put away the sewing for the month of July. Have to turn the sewing room back into a bedroom! I'll most likely go through withdrawel! Sigh!

I had to put my sewing away to a tiny bit of area in my bedroom for 11 months!!! We hAD TWO EXCHANGE STUDENTS living with us. JUST RECENTLY GOT BACK ONE ROOM.it's NO LONGER A BEDROOM now, so I can sew again, even when I wake up at 3 in the am......so I feel your heartache on losing your space!

ceannastahr,
I love your block. I like the way the pink bees blend but I like the way the yellow guys stand out more. I know, I'm being really helpful here, aren't I?
Thanks for the wise words of wisdom earlier. Yes, payback will happen. One daughter and her family live in Alexandria, Va. and we will go back next spring for a visit before they leave for middle east again.
I really don't mind giving up the sewing room for three weeks. I'll survive, I'll have 5 grandkids and 4 daughters to play with. Life will be great! Plus I've got some hand applique I'll keep close by for those moments when everyone has gone for a walk or something! (I should add that the poor son-in-laws all have to stay at home and work this summer. :? )
Looking forward to seeing your finished block. Happy stitching.
