you earned every word of praise you are bound to hear from everybody who sees it.

i think the way a block suddenly comes to life and reveals itself as better than we thought might be G-d's reward for all the tedious, chore-type ironing we have to do, too.

LOL

P.S. for anybody visiting this post thinking "well, why is that nasty old Patrice ignoring all those other beautiful blocks?", let me just ease your mind. we've been "ooooo"ing and "aaaaaaaaahhhh"ing over them in another thread. these are duplicates of the pictures from the other posts.

i'm just lazy. besides, i know everybody seeing them for the first time will appreciate them, too.

You are a dearie, and I love a little quilting philosophy. Wait until you see my sister Yvonne's blocks. Talk about dancing! I am eager to see the variety we all will create again this month.

Marcella, Tim, Norah, Patrice, all the blocks are beautiful. (There should be a more descriptive word, don't you think? Can we make up our own word for the most gorgeous work that quilters do?)

The time and effort put out on these blocks is just wonderful!! I'm not sure I'll EVER share my work again, you intimidate this novice. NAHHHH, I'm going to share, sometime. lol lol

Love them all, thanks for working them up so fast. BTW what's an iron???

tee hee hee

iron ... hmmmm .... there was a whole age of that a couple million years ago, wasn't there?

you have to share now. 'cause you promised. and 'cause i know where you live.

I had to do them both! I'm impressed with how the pinks worked with both blocks, especially the frolic. The arrowheads block was easier than I thought but matching that center 4 patch with all those outside points was a bit of a challenge. Good choices, Patrice! Good point practice!

Much, much better! I knew you had a block!! It looks like you've drawn it out and colored it with colored pencils. Beautiful! I like pastels as much as vibrant colors. You did good!

OOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

It is really really pretty.
And the center square-in-a-square really makes it look woven. Way cool!
