SunlitenSmiles, very good explanation. Cmaras hope you join us. It's free and no sign ups or rules. Lots of joking around and having a good time sharing.

Cmaras, each week we will receive a clue (instructions) on what to do until the next clue. Nobody will know what it looks like until we receive the last clue. That is the mystery. It's really exciting. I have made 4 of Judy's mystery quilts and loved every one of them. This is for your own personal enjoyment. Please join in.

Chocolate chip cookies? A wine cellar in the caboose? Chocolate wine? A bunch of quilters on a train bound for who knows where? Sounds like my kind of trip! This will be my first Mystery Train Ride, bags are packed and can't wait to see where this leads.

........................and a box car full of fabric..................and a flat car with rails, our observation deck when travel takes us through canyons, past waterfalls, over river bridges...while we wait patiently for the next clue ... ok, some are more patient then others......ok, everyone is more patient than me...but this time I am going to slow down and ...... who am I kidding the new blade is in the rotary cutter, new needle in the machine, cutting table cleared for action......and today pressing fabric that I have been dying to use and might be right for #12.

Have been working on lots of other things , including UFO's but all that will be on hold for Judy's mystery . Such fun!
great company & wonderful calorie free snacks- and adult libations.
I'll be at the station

Yes, we are all ready for another fun-filled Mystery Train Ride with sweet Judy!!! I've captured several of the rides (directions to sew later) and also have completed some of the tops. It's so much fun to see how each one of us interpret the clues . . . but somehow we all manage to put it all together with the help of our wonderful leader!! Okay, bags are packed and getting ready to do some baking for our ride . . . see you ladies soon!

Cmaras the first quilt I ever made was a mystery one. So easy, following the clues etc and advice along the way. It got me really hooked on quilting

[QUOTE=CMARAS1234;7474128]what is the Mystery Train.? The Mystery Train is designed by PaintmeJudy with everyone jumping on a virtual train. Progress and ideas are shared from beginning to end and it's a lot of fun! any charge? Absolutely no charge! any material need to be mail monthly? No mailing, most people work from their stash What about pattern etc. Judy will post a new clue for the pattern once a week.

I am writing to encourage lurkers and beginning quilters to give this activity a try. I have done other mystery quilts, by noted authors, and Judy's are my favorite. There are no surprise cutting instructions and directions are clear. It is great fun to see how each quilter chooses fabrics to make up the pattern. This is a great gift/. Thank you Judy!

So glad you're starting a new mystery. I'm glad I found this post, I haven't been on the QB as much lately. I'm really looking forward to a new train ride. Found my ticket in my purse, right were you left it. Just have to make sure I'm at the station on time. Can't wait! Thanks!
