Each of your blocks are so pretty, and full of life. Especially the one full of stories. hehe..... I would be afraid now to own that block. J/K

Default First Row!

"Only" eight more to go! I've started the second row and I'm a little worried about those half blocks at the top and bottom. After cutting them in half, they're going to be 1/4" shorter than the other blocks.

I had a devil of a time finding someplace to hang the row to take the picture. That sucker's long!

Those look great, Katybob! You don't have to cut any blocks in half. Certain ones can be opened up on the seam to form the two half triangles, and they will have the seam allowance so they fit. Some of us deliberately did not join that center seam in the blocks that can be divided diagonally.

The ones that can divide that way are (in order):
Charlotte
Granny
Jenny
Jewel
May
Mrs. Taft
Ruby
Sara

There are a couple of others that could be split diagonally, too. Any block who's final seam is the full diagonal, just undo that seam. No cutting.

I believe it was Honchey who mentioned this earlier on... makes great sense.

Thanks JeanieG and JuneBillie. This might end up one of my favorites. I didn't see that I accidentally caught extra fabric in my seam until I was nearly finished with the block. I do believe I have to make every mistake at least once.
