The FWS 30's Quiltalong Week 27 Block 53 Lucy & Block 54 Magnolia
#31
I have been doing some reading from where all of you started, and I will be starting a notebook to keep track of all my things in it. I have some extra notebooks that are large. I am so excited, but just hope I can do it.

Susan, I think it's nice to have a big family, and you have a great story to pass down the generations about the love and caring of your grandmother for that large brood. I'm sure she had a lot of courage and endurance.
Here's my Magnolia.
I agree with QNS-- no one needs permission. :-) It's an open group. The more the merrier!

Thank you girls.
That is a beautiful Magnolia givio.
Everyone's blocks have been just beautiful.
Yes, my mother said my grandmother had to always endure hard work, and make every bite of food count. My mother had nothing but admiration for her.

Thank you Honchey! I really look forward to it. I hope my book gets here this week. In the mean time, I am working on my notebook to keep up with everything. I am very much a beginner paper piecer, but that is one reason I wanted to jump in so that I could learn it, and get help from others here who seem so willing to help. I have only sewn a couple of small pieces using the paper piecing method. I will be sure to keep my seam ripper close by.

Yesterday I spent some time pulling out any fabrics I thought would look nice for these quilt blocks. I found more than I thought I had. I have a small box with a lid that is full right now. lol... My book should come anytime from tomorrow through a week from tomorrow.
Honchee, you said above that I should just make sure I post my pictures in the correct thread. Does that mean at times if I do an extra one from the beginning ones in order to catch up that I should post it on the thread that had all of those early on? And, of course the ones going on now in these threads. I just want to make sure I post in the correct places for all blocks. Thanks!
