I got some good news! I discovered that there is an LQS in Brady! The article in the paper said that the owner is buildin' a new store on Bridge St! It didn't say if she is still open in the old location. I won't be able ta go & check it out this weekend, even though I am goin' ta Brady. Too many things ta stuff into one weekend.

QNS--these are both great quilts. I'd like to try an "attic windows" pattern some day and the rings of love turned out beautifully. Did you get your trip to DM in this week to drop off your FW quilt?

I got two quilts finished this week(end)...one had been cut out but not sewn at all and the other was started by my dd years ago. You can see pics here: on "pg 132 and 133" http://www.quiltingboard.com/quiltin...71904-132.html

I will work on cutting more PC block fabrics this week and maybe even sew a couple!!

Bright fresh fall colors in your deer quilt, QNS. Hard to believe that fall is just around the corner, and school will be starting.
Nice to get an old UFO finished, Carrie. Way to go.
I've been getting ready for company--working in the sewing room, tidying things up--don't want them to think I'm a total slob and the little GD's will be amazed when they come back from their trip to WI on Thursday. Tonight put 2 lasagnas in the freezer for later in the week.
Hoof trimmer comes tomorrow and have a small lasagne ready to pop in the oven. Tomorrow going to make some meatballs. Nice to have food ready ahead of time--less time in the kitchen and more time for family. Then there's the lawn to mow--after 2 inches of rain on Friday we have GRASS. Wednesday is grocery shopping day--going to get some fresh melons and tomatoes at the Farmer's Market. Mine aren't ready yet. Going to call it a night! Rest well.

OkSewGlad...it sounds like you're going to have a wonderful time with your family. It's so nice to go into a time like this with a clean house and food cooked ahead!

Carrie...isn't it nice to have things finished? Good job.

QNSue ... oh my goodness .. those quilts are stunning! I'd never heard of the Chains of Love pattern til you mentioned it, and it's a beauty. You have done a wonderful job of yoru Dear Deer ... great fabric combos and the attif windows. Stunning indeed. I know you said "memorial quilts" ... are these in memory of your FIL? And I believe you said the Chains are going to his sister? So I'm guessing the Deer are for his brother? So nice and considerate of you.

Beautiful, beautiful quilts, QNS. I love the Rings pattern-that's new to me. And the colors you chose for them are great. You make such cheerful, colorful quilts.
