Sashing? Ack. I have no idea. As I am trying to use my stash, the quilt is going to be a dog's breakfast so I'm thinking I will need something dark and neutral (read boring) to try not to compete with the variety in the blocks.
Anael,
glad I wandered into this thread so I could see your blocks. I absolutely love that basket! Betty's Delight is delightful. Good on ya.

I have no ideal what I am going to do with these blocks once I finish....I don't have anyone that will care one hoot! I just think the blocks are fun to do and I love the stories the kids have written about their ponies. I will watch what you all are doing pertaining to sashing and maybe get an idea.......I love what all of you are doing so far. Great eye candy!!!
The foundation fabric I picked while still fun and kid-like, is a little more softer and feminine, in a sense. And with it's colour, it just might be a sunny bright quilt for me to enjoy all-by-myself!!!!!!!!!!
It'll all figure itself out, as time goes on!!

Hey ya'll-
I haven't figured out the sashing yet but I just ordered the backing & already have half of the binding. I plan on doing the flange binding that Charismah has a tutorial on. I tried it on my 6 hour quilt, that took 2 weeks, & loved it! Here's the link to my quilt.

Thanks ladies
I have 3 kids who don't care but I like the blocks and I love quitling so that's why I'm making this. I guess it will end up in my basket in my living room waiting for somebody to be cold and use it. That's ok with me.

Talk about planning ahead and organized DublB ... WOW!
I did a flange on my OBW, though not quite the way that Charisma's tute shows.

And OMG ... I didn't realize I had gotten THAT carried away on pics at the time!
A little overkill, for sure! Sorry!

Second; that is a neat way to bind a quilt. I love that lace! Lovely!
Third; I still am looking for the perfect sashing! I have money now but I'm afraid that I won't later. I don't want this to be a UFO!(I only finished 1 quilt last year!)
PS. I'm also thinking of doing this as a QAYG, but time will tell!

Thank you ... I was quite pleased. I really wasn't sure what or how I was doing the lace at first. It was just an idea I wanted to try. When I was looking for the lace and asking for help locally, I just got shrugs ... and looks kind of as though I were a strange green alien! Thankfully there was good support here on the Boards which kept me encouraged that yes, I could do something different than the norm!
