Actually, it was the humid warm summer rain that confused me, not Charlotte's web.

And when we get a hot, dry spell, it is just that. No rain, even for an hour. Then the PNE opens and so do the skies.

Well, aren't you planning ahead??
Much the same here ... CNE used to always be known for rain!!! Not so much the last few years. But there are some of the Fall Fairs that seem to be inflicted with rain predictability EVERY year, and some of the others, always seem to get only sun!

This is such a pretty block and you've made it even all the more with your fabrics, w4me!
Photos of spider webs?--not a chance here, my photo skills aren't any where close to capturing a good one, but....

Thank you oksewglad. Did you know that tinsel is spider related?

For a while, I sold beaded spider ornaments at craft fairs. They sold very well as they were in all sorts of colours - gold, silver, red, blue, transparent etc.

What a great legend...while in Africa my sister let the spiders come in--they were the resident "orkin" control for all sorts of little bugs.

WOW! It rained so much while I was in Brady. I can't remember seein' rain for more that 1 day in years. At least not since I've been married. We got 5 inches in Brady & 3 inches here in Midland!
We had a great time. We did git the lots mowed & most o' the area around the house before the rain hit. I did git a block done for a cancer geometric quilt. I also did a li'le bit o' work on the QAYG Sunbonnet Sue. I've been workin' on it for about 2 years. I don't work on it at home so I have decided not ta bring it home. Maybe I need ta take it ta a retreat. It's for a DF o' DH. Her DM died about 12 years ago & had all o' these blocks appliqued & hand quilted. I'm joinin' 'em tagether. Ya'd think it wouldn't take so much prep ta git it ready ta sew.
We watched 2 new movies & several that we have already seen.
