I did the paper piecing and it turned out really bad. Throw away the second half of the piecing pattern and repeat the top half a second time. It works out better.

Here's the spool. Boy, I have to slow down! My points and seams aren't lining up quite right. I have to "get my head" back into this again. LOL

Yes JeanieG I did paper piece this one, I have been drawing up my own blocks and it seems to have worked for me so far. I pieced 2 sections together then pieced them into 4, then the 4 sections together across the centre. I also pressed my centre seam flat and starched it. Lays nice and flat.

I really enjoy seeing everyone's blocks. They really are eye candy! janRN, I love your spool fabric. QNinaSue, I think you can keep both your Spider Webs and its spiders! ;-)

Very nice! I love the teal fabric (I was going to call it toruquoise but not sure how to spell that LOL). I love everyone's spider web block-I think this is one of my favorites.

Both of these were made in my June start. Once again, I can see that my colour choices for the Spider Web might have been different. I think I'll have a different approach when doing the Pony Club! Here you go ... and thanks for looking!

The spider block is beautiful--the fabrics you chose are so pretty. I like your block 84, whatever it's name is, it's very bright and cheery.

Great contrast in both blocks! You've inspired me to get back to these. I've also started Barbara Brackman's Civil War blocks to. They are 8 inch blocks and fun to do as well.
