Thanks everyone! We had a great trip to Whidbey Island, WA, to visit with friends, then to Toppenish, WA for a grandson's graduation from high school. Saw Crater Lake on the way home to California. We were gone a little over a month. We travel in our motorhome.

    Default That Darn PP pattern!

When I looked at 87 & 88 I thought, "Oh boy! Two easy blocks!" Well 87 was easy, just had a lot of pieces. Then I waded into 88, only to find out the pp pattern from Yahoo FW group was wrong. It was backwards! Found this out after I had done the entire block! Arggghhh! So I started again from scratch. Redrew lines on HST and got it all straightened out. Got it done with all the HSTs in right place with right fabric. Yipppeeee! Then tragedy struck! The block was six inches. More Arggggghhhhhh!

I'm including a picture of it and the pretty star gardener. I think I am just going to put a red strip around the right and bottom sides to make the block 6 1/2 inches. I don't want to bother with making it again or doing another one instead.

Default It Didn't Turn Out Too Bad

Here's the revised edition of #88. I made the borders a little wider so I can trim it to 6 1/2" exactly!

Good alternate plan! And your blocks look lovely ... no one will know about your creativity. Unless of course you tell them!

In the end, I decided not to sew. When I looked at my calendar for the next few days, I knew this would be my best time to strip the tree and undecorate my home from Christmas. Winter theme decorations and snowmen stay up to enjoy til closer to spring!! Not done yet, but well on the way ... and then will sew after supper.
