Mommadorian I love your neat, clean looking farmhouse.
Nickylsf you have it all in your block. Very, very cute.
Quilter I am planning to use some dark night sky, too. PP is certainly not my thing, but I will give this a try. It's only paper and fabric right? What can be so hard? That's what I keep telling myself. Hope it works better this time.

I have a PP "how to" book by Carol Doak and she recommends a few basting stitches at each intersection prior to joining two pieces together. I will try that this time. Someone(couldn't find the posting)previously mentioned that and it is a good idea. Thanks for reminding me.

I think your block looks great! I've been looking at it to see what's missing and I think I have figured it out, but it is NOT obvious at all. As a matter of fact I would never have noticed if you hadn't said anything.

I plan on starting mine today, but I need to clean my sewing area, so I have room to work.

This is the one and only farmhouse block for my quilt. It's wonky, and I just realised I missed a piece entirely, but it is done. :?

It' a great Farm House! I like your choice of fabrics. I would not have noticed the missing piece if you had not mentioned it!

I love your farmhouse. The colors are so warm and the wood siding is perfect!

The border is a great idea to tie everything together. I have been worried that my blocks might not all end up at 12.5" so this is a great solution.

Yes, Carol is big on that. As she says, "Pin and baste, pin and baste, pin and baste." lol

Well if I was a house builder, I would be out of business!! - Still trying to get porch area to work out! What a challenge but great learning experience. A great big "Wow" to those who have finished their block. My house to be completed soon.
