Went to a favorite LQS a few days ago & was able to get a nice background fabric for my batik scrappy mystery...so I re-thought my step 2, re-did the ones that were paired with C (I will use the ones I am not using for the step in order to make the quilt larger at the end--nothing will go to waste). Then I got step 3 finished also. I forgot to get the fabric for the child one I plan to do...maybe next week. But I'm liking this one so far.

Very pretty, vickim. You can never go wrong with batiks!!

Lovelyl, pretty fossil ferns. I have used many of those before in quilts. Great blenders!

Jenniky: really like your scrappy mystery!

Sulabug, have you been shopping my stash? I have the same blue & pink in mine! I like what you've done with this. It's going to look sooo rich!

wow.....this is so interesting....the quilts on display are wonderful (more than 300, they say) and every style is represented. my friends took me all through the grounds of the college and the shops and everywhere. Do not understand exactly because they all talk at once, but seems their work is here. although some are saying this is their land , but some one else says shhhhh. anyway they are a fun group and very knowledgeable ...... there are tunnels everywhere and they know exactly where each one goes. There are two or three that seem accident prone or very mischievious , have not figured that out, strange things (like spilled ale,and wind gusts) seem to happen when they stay back a few yards from the leaders. This is really an awsome venue for a quilt show.....and the vendors have gotten into the spirit of things......like the fatquarters chocolate and the stack and whack sandwitch shop. I am very happy here but just a little worried about how to get back to the Mystery Train in time for the next clue on Saturday. Mentioned this concern to the leader and he said not to worry,Little old white haired lady (that is what they call me) we will get you back to your Mystery Train .....friday night.

VickiM love the batik fabric selection - can't wait to see what it looks like when we are all done with our Mystery.
