Whimpers are allowed right?

Anyways.... I have a little over 100 left on the wings (thankfully).

I hit a small snag. I don't think I have enough red/orange to finish out my strings. I'm thinking I'll just add in some yellows to the last 18. I think that will work fairly well.
We were just teasing you. I think we all whine a little sometimes(shhhh...we won't admit it).

I think yellow would look great with red/orange.

bookworm, pinks might be another option when running out of red/orange, especially bright pink.

islandwiz1: Looks amazing

Foxflower: I was using bright pinks. I figured that they'd count as red .... sort of

I wonder what the whole quilt will look like? I was scared when I first saw the pinks and blue stars but if you stare at them for a while they sort of blend together. Where or where will those other pieces go?

Ok gals.... I finished sewing and pressing all 350HST today. Now all I have to do is pull the paper off. I plan to do this in the morning (or talk my DD into doing this for me lol) and the citing paper into the size I need for the red string blocks. Hopefully I can get those started. I really hope if all goes the way I plan that I can either catch up or be very close by the time the net clue is posted. I will take pictures and post the tomorrow.

Everyones blocks here look amazing!

Now off to go find my easy angle ruler (where could that thing be hiding)

I just love your colors.... everytime I see your photos I think of a Luau and a tropical beach setting complete with lounge chair and margaritas! I can't wait to see your finished quilt.

Okay... my little whiny whimper has turned into a Hallelujah chorus! Yep, I finally finished the wing blocks tonight! I squared up the first 175 blocks and they are coming out at just the right size. I just love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with completing a step... I wish I could bottle it and savor it forever!

I had to go back and finish step 1 so that I could make progress on step 6. So far I have only finished 4 of the dark stars and 1 of the light. I still need to finish the large string blocks but I am saving that for another day. I have my seam guide set for the 1/4 inch seam and don't want to remove it to work on more string blocks.

I am going to do all the dark blocks first. I cut those squares. Once finished I will go on to the light star blocks.

Wholeheart Mom, I just want to go to the Luau and that tropical beach. I just hope everything comes together with the colors I chose. Has anyong figured where the string blocks and the wing blocks will fit in yet?
