Thanks Pam H. I'm really loving it. The nice flannel makes it so soft and cuddly. And this design is perfect for the set of fabrics.

Anoka - thanks for asking the question about the new thread. Was hoping to be able to start from scratch and not have to go through all postings from previous train rides - only because everyone's work is so distracted, I see things that I want to research, I find things I want to make, etc.

Is everyone ready for Saturday.....we all start off on the same foot....assuming your machine is cleaned and oiled, your stash is sorted, your rotary blade is sharp, your iron is at the ready, your cutting table and design wall are cleared.......
Just kidding (I do not even have a design wall yet ).

The way it has been in the past.....Paint Me Judy will start a new thread and someone (usually the first to find it) will post a link in this thread, so we can all go to the new thread and "subscribe"<-that is the quiltingboard term for clicking on a link that you want e-mail notification of postings.

was that clear as mud, sorry, but do not worry...Saturday will be fun !

Design wall won't be cleared off unless I can manage to finish the flannel Carpenter's Star that has it covered.

Design wall....LOL, Sunliten!! Try 'design bed' or 'design floor" and you're at my house! Seriously, the sewing room WAS clean, but now it's ummm...a tad messy. But that won't matter, because on the train, we'll have everything we need and lots of goodies to chow down! See you all then!

This will be my first scrappy. I am looking forward to the ride. Judy is such a great hostess.

A strange migration has been taking place in my sewing room. The fabric seems to be moving off the shelves and into piles on all the surfaces including the floor. Another strange thing is they seem to be grouping themselves into colors that will work for at least five quilt alongs of various kinds. Just don't understand.

I tried the 'design bed' and the 'design floor'. Didn't work very well when I had a 7 1/2 lb black blur of poodle in the middle of it. She really enjoyed rolling on it before it was sewn together, and couldn't understand why I was upset. I was sitting one day feeling sorry for myself and thought, "There isn't anyone who is going to care if I put a few staples in the wall." I am a widow and there is simply no one I have to answer to. So, I took some batting and some white flannel and the staple gun and made a place for me to put my design pieces. I was very thankful I did when I started this flannel Carpenter's Star. I would have a pile of mess that I would be stomping on if it weren't for that flannel wall. It is saving my sanity this time.
