This quilt top definitely fits 'UFO' status. I'm not sure why I didn't finish or donate the top because I had most of it sewn together. I'm thinking I was going to make it bigger so the top could be donated to my church group to finish.
However, I decided to try spray basting and serpentine stitching on it. First time for spray basting and, other than a few baby quilts, I hadn't quilted anything. I did tie my first quilt 40 years ago and a few gifted quilts but that was about it. I paid by check for a few also. So when I started sewing quilt tops around 15 years ago for my church group, it was easier to just donate the tops.
I decided this one will be mine.
