NOTE TO SELF

Find and read all of Judy's posts sometimes they do pertain to the project as a whole.
Thanks Belfrybat. I know what you mean about playing with them I did it too.

Also love your collection of colors. .
Good question Billi! Same thought here too!

Final selections with the deeper red/orange. I'm anxious to get started!! Just need suggestions as what to put where. I have plenty of each to put anything anywhere. That is a light yellow on the end (looks very washed out on my end)

I don't know of any way to trim them without pressing, so I'm just waiting until Judy tells us which way to press. With only 40 squares, it won't take any time at all to press and trim. Plus I'm currently working on the mystery quilt over at QCA and am pressing/ trimming 140+ blocks this weekend, so am very happy to take it easy here for this week. I know Judy will speed up as the train goes down the tracks.

Here is what I pulled from my stash -- if I keep these fabrics, I think I'll have to name this quilt "Wild Child".

Would you mind posting a close up of your center fabric? I swear, I have 2 fabrics that must be part of that collection, but I've never seen this print!

Mysteries can be a bit scary as none of us want to "get it wrong", but I've discovered, thanks to Judy and others that there really isn't any wrong. I like your combination, especially that paisley. Might I suggest you lay out the fabric from left to right in a couple of different combinations? You might also look at some of the other folks choices to get an idea of what might work -- that is what I did, and with the comments from others, was able to make my decision.

Just jump on, Moemoejean!

I went ahead and pressed so I could trim. If they need to be changed, I'll do so when we get to that step. It seems that HSTs rarely need to nest unless they all come together in a center, and pressing to the dark usually takes care of that. I am a very slow trimmer, so I wanted to get it accomplished today while I had some time.

Just jump on board,
Head to the very first post by Judy where she explains how the mystery will be revealed and give us what we need in our fabric choices. Pic your fabrics then go through people's posts at what they choose and the order they are going to be in.... Then find Judy's post today for our first cutting and sewing clue.

Dont forget to stop in the club car to share in the goodies and show us pictures of your work.

Welcome aboard don't be shy this is my first ride too.
