So I was trying not to ask, but I have to, why is one of the green/purple hsquare different from the rest?

Because I really only have scraps, I am using different fabrics throughout the quilt, I didn't want to wait until the end and then add them in. Here in UK the fabrics are so expensive and I cannot work that I work with scraps most of the time. But thanks for asking!

January sounds awesome for a new Scrappy Mystery. Hopefully by then I will be completely organized(fingers crossed). I want to have the spare bedroom set up as my sewing room, leaving the living room as my quilting room only. Right now I sew and quilt in the same room and it is simply not big enough or organized enough. It is great being able to plan ahead of time. Now I can put any fabric I know will only be used in scrap quilts into a tub to wait its turn in January. Thanks Judy. I am looking forward to it.

I'm planning a Tiddlywinks out of 30s repro fabrics--Such a pretty pattern.

Well, that is strange -- the photo was there last evening. Maybe Judy took it down since it doesn't belong to this mystery. I won't try to re-post.
YES to a scrappy mystery. Actually, I've decided to make another of the current mystery in a scrappy. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right Angelia? Although mine won't be as elegant as yours is.

hi all,
after a series of mini-boo-boos, I've got my stars finished now. Reminder to self: never cut fabric when you're tired......
And another vote here for scrappy :-)
BTW, overheard at a quilt show on saturday, whilst admiring a wall hanging heavily embellished with buttons:
"Why would you put so many buttons on a quilt, the cat wouldn't be able to get comfy!"
Cheers, K

Okay, makes sense now, but you did a real good job of matching it and it blends well. I didn't catch it at first. I agree with the cost. When I was visiting over there, one place I had to see was a fabric place. At first thought the prices were not too bad, but forgot to convert the currency, that changed it quickly.
