My official count would be 50-0-1083, the zero stand for the triangles. I guess a lot of people do them after they complete the blocks and others (like me) don't do them at all...they have several levels of accomplishments and I'll not be able to reach the highest levels without the triangles.

Guess I will have to recount.

LOL

None of you are going to like me if I tell you what my 'count' is.

retrogirl02 03-31-2010 08:22 AM

Are you done, already Lacelady??

Sheree from Chicago 03-31-2010 11:14 AM

Lacelady I will always like you no matter how many blocks you have completed!

I love that some of you are working ahead, it is very helpful and inspiring for the rest of us! I wish the weekly posts were a bit ahead of our schedule.

Working full time is getting in the way of my quilting schedule!

After last night with L10...well, it is "done" ***Not perfect, but I love it, as is*** now just 2 more blocks for this week, maybe I can get another one done tonight. Since I came in after the party began, I still need to complete Weeks 1, 3, 4 and 5! I read about how to count, but my numbers are too low to bother for now.

Last night, I concluded that Jane was making mini quilts, each block is a mini quilt and in all honesty I believe that the majority of these little gems are best suited sewn by hand...

Awww...Lesley...I'll love ya' anyway...I might pout out of jealousy for a couple of days though...

I think you are exactly right Wil...I think I'll start looking at the blocks that way...each a little quilt on its own. :D

By the way, how many years was the civil war? I forget, but that should give us somewhat of a timeline as to how long Jane took to make this. Maybe she decided to piece blocks only for so long as the war was happening.

Woops. I forgot about the corners...there are 4 numbers...#blocks-#triangles-#corners-#of total pieces so I'd be 50-0-0-1083. Sorry for the confusion. I'm just happy to be almost done with this week! I don't know about you all but I'm really ready for a break!!!
