Here are the HST's all treadled for the second piece. I couldn't decide which fabrics to go with and as I have been piecing the different fabrics I am glad I am going with both sets of fabric.

I just sent you a PM about quilts and the hurricane.....Just wondering if there is a place where they could be given away to people in need? I could get some quilted and bring them with me if there is, let me know please.

Jaba, there is always a need for quilts at the chemo center, but I have no idea where you would send them for hurricane victims. Chasezzz is a good person to ask.
But lets talk about you... Maybe pack some extra groceries if you can. To my knowledge all local WalMarts are currently closed. They had temporarily closed their grocery pickup at all stores. I spoke with corporate this morning and he said the local stores are closed. I know there are other grocery stores open, but stock is low. You might want to bring some extra stuff like pasta and sauce and/or pet food, etc. I heard that if you want bread, you need to get there around 8:00 when its delivered. You can just about forget going to fast food places right now. The lines are all around the buildings, because so many are getting food there due to their power being out. Might want to pack some PBJ, coffee and tea bags, just in case. If you don't need it by the time you get here, it won't spoil in your pantry! If you're like me, you need that coffee in the morning! LOL When do you expect to arrive? Stay safe. Jan

Thanks Judy, maybe I picked the right colors this time:)
Just Jan, we plan on leaving around the 1st and it takes 3 long days to drive it. We are 3 miles from Lakeland, in Mulberry, and the Winn Dixie and Public's is open there so I don't think we will have a problem. I'm not much of a fast food person so that's not a problem, should be able to find restaurant's open if need be.
There is a lady here that works for the hospital and coordinates with the low income cancer patients so they can get their medications, appointments, etc. and I supply her quilts for the patients. Gave her 12 in May and she is going to pick up another 12 this next week to distribute to new patients while we are gone for the winter. I'm happy they can be used and go to a good cause. Apparently they are happy to receive also as I've gotten some very nice thank you's. I can only deal with so many quilts and I'm sure not going to quit sewing at this point, it's a stress reliever or therapy for me, at least that's what I tell my hubby :)
We don't have to deal with the garden anymore....hubby just came in and said it's done for, froze last night and there's snow on the mountain tops.
