Ok, I think I really may jump and join the BOM! I have been watching the pictures on the other thread! I do not have a stash and I think I am going to do my stars set in white or natural/linen cotton. So, for the stars themselves, will fat quarters be the best size to buy, or would smaller cuts work (like a layer cake or fat eighths?)

Thank you so much! Will you ever do a tut on this block,by any chance?

I am new here and you guys are keeping me busier than I already am! I too want to do both BOMs. I got started on a church last night, after practicing on the test square suggested on the Quilters Cache site. How much fun! It is a little tricky at first and I had to start one piece over, but I like the precision it requires.

Glad you're joining us, Nickylsf. There are quite a few of us doing both BOM's, so we'll be seeing a lot of each other.

Here it is...my friendship block for Jan. I loved the directions for making HST. So easy. I think I will do all my stars in blue and yellow and then put into a quilt...for me!!

Here is my Friendship Star. Can't wait for the second one to come out! I have plenty to do until then though. This is fun!

OOps! Sorry I posted the pic here so I deleted it & put it on the right thread.
