Another WOWer Sue. Everyone is welcome. I know I would never have finished either if it weren't for you guys. I hope that everyone not finished yet will continue to post there stars. The LAQ will not get to mine till January but soon as I get it back I will post a pic.

Anael, I wanted a dark background too but not black. I found a batik that was kinda dark blue with some purple in it. I really wanted a dark purple but couldn't find what I wanted.I used brights mostly batiks. I look forward to seeing your blocks.
Nicky I love your quilt. I still need to piece my back so I can either quilt it or take it to the longarmer. Not sure which i will do yet. Probably will send it out to be quilted it is pretty big and I want the quilting to be special. This is my quilt, I plan on keeping it. Mona Lisa I love the Mariner Compass stars. I hadn't seen that book. I am jumping right into another paper piecing project. I plan on joining the New York Beauty group. I am hoping to do it totally scrappy. I love paper piecing. |
Oh I am loving seeing your blocks and fabrics up close. I will do a scrappy one too when I am ready to begin. I don't really save scraps but I have enough fabrics in my stash that I will use.

The CD that comes with the book is only instructional for learning how to PP. You have to order the CD with the blocks separately but you can do what most of us did and take your book to Staples or Office Depot and have the spine taken off and put it in a 3 ring binder. Makes it easier to take copies. Hope that helps.

Lots of pretties to look at today. Great job everyone. I finished my Arkansas block. Thought while I working on it that it was going to be my favorite as far as color. Reminded me of a peace rose. After it is complete I am not so sure. Very dissapointed in it. But it is done and on to the next.
