I'll be interested to see how the Razzle Dazzle sews for you, Patti. I get a little frustrated with some of the metallic threads because they seem to fray and come apart while I'm using them with counted cross stitch. It's probably the brand of thread I'm using, so if the Razzle Dazzle works well for you, I may look into buying some, too.

Thanks for the link on applique. I'll check that ebook out.

Have you gotten it Patti? I want someone's opinion before I do. And I worry about spam.

I got my backing today in the post. I had been looking for a black sheet locally, but only managed to find a fitted one, which wouldn't have been big enough. So I ended up ordering from Thousands of bolts - they have several in their wide backing section. I chose the cheapest, which they say is tone on tone, but it is more of a mottled effect. It is a little bit stiff, but I think some of that stiffness will wash out. ($8.95 a yard and they have 4 yards left in stock, so there is enough for someone else).

I downloaded it with my junk email address and it is not something that I see as being useful to someone who needs help with applique.

Thanks Lesley, yes, it's better, but I have to say that this year The Fast is kicking my butt!! I am severely undermotivated to do anything right now. :?

But I am listening to a new song by Sissel from her new album. Gosh, I love her voice!!

Nancy Zieman TV has a new video about doing bobbin work. I don't know how to do a link. But most of the video is about the Baby Lock and the kit that is available to use specifically for bobbin work. It was interesting, but I am not getting a new machine!

I would love to see it, because I have a babylock that came with all the bobbin work stuff, but I have no clue about any of it. I couldn't find the video. To add a link to a post, just open the page of whatever you want to link, and highlight the url in the window, then click Edit (at the top of the screen), then Copy. Then in the place you want to put the link, just click Edit, then Paste.
