I LOVE all the birdhouses!!! Everyone is being so creative! I'm going to do mine next week, but I think I will paper piece too. So many cute ideas!!!

meesabell 04-06-2011 04:16 PM

Sorry I've not been around much but I'm still in the game! Love the birdhouses and I was going to make sure to add one for my house BOM quilt!

Barb44 04-06-2011 05:20 PM

I just had to register to tell you all how cute your birdhouses are. I have been following your BOM since January.

If you step back from the pictures and look at them without thinking of them as birdhouses, some of them almost look like scarecrows or clowns. They have crazy hats and black noses. :D :D

I would love to take part in this, but right now I have no place to sew.

sally's girl 04-06-2011 07:34 PM

Thanks ladies for kind comments..after I posted the pic I can see things on the block that should have been different,...
Such as my stitches were too small for the roof caused the fabric to pull, the roof needs to be lower onto the house..but oh well I still love this block.

From my 17 year old son "mom, that looks like you just made another robot" and I thought it was just him seeing things!!! LOL!!!

Sulabug,
I've been looking for the directions on this month's block. Can you point me in the right direction. I can never seem to find them till I've looked under every page of the BOM. Need something a tad bit quicker.
Thanks

I am so sorry that you can't get it to print. It worked just fine on my computer. I have no idea what might be happening with your copy. I am hoping that someone on the QB can help you out.

Are you printing with Internet Explorer? If not, try that.

I found the birds hard too, as you can see they don't exactly look as plumpy and happy as everyone elses. haha! Different species!

Corky 04-09-2011 08:48 AM

Really cute, Cherylmae!

I know what you mean about handwork. Relaxes me, too Plus it keeps me from eating in the evenings!!

i would be very happy to post you a print out. it would around 4/5 days if that is ok as i live in the UK. although someone in the USA might be happy to post you a copy instead. as long as we aren't going to sell the print out or 'block' we should be ok (if there is a copyright on it...)

just let me know if you need me to send you a copy...
love jacquie xxxxxx

Red breasted robins are the sure sign of spring here in cold Minnesota. I did my roof a little different than the pattern. I like being able to work around my shortcomings.

Spring has sprung and the robins are back

all 4 blocks. I made a few changes to my barn.

Love your birdhouse block, it is so bright & cheerful looking. I especially love your birds. Now, why didn't I think of making my bird body two tone? :D Your four blocks look amazing all together.
