Hey ... I'm serious!

CarrieM ... nice pair of groups! What are the plans for the two quilts? For your kids? or?

QE--The quilts will go on the bed I laid them out on...it is a built in bed (day bed?) in our living room. I figured it would be fun to have two different quilts. I will take a picture of the room when it is light out so you can see better. Need to be getting to bed now....

That'll be perfect! A coordinating set ... yet each unique unto itself. Will you use the same backing for both? or different ones?

Carrie is it a Murphy bed that folds out? I thought a Daybed is one that looks like a couch. Or is it just a built in bed?
PS. Beautiful blocks that will make a couple o' lovely quilts.

The bed was built into an alcove...it was originally a double and stuck out into the room, we cut it off to make it a twin. The bookshelf to the left is also built in. The "wallhanging" (being used as a curtain) was my inspiration for using KT fabrics. It was a gift from a friend. There was another bookshelf on on the right of the bed, but it took up too much space so we took it out. Behind the tv is my 1st quilt...

We usually have pillows along the back of the bed, but they were taken off so we could pull down the projector screen...we are going to play the Wii this afternoon and some games are much better on "the big screen" (you can see it at the top of the back windows...just fit!) That was a $1 auction buy (the screen I mean). Oh and if you noticed the pillow in the ceiling...there is a skylight there but when we use the projector during the day have to block the light. :)

Oh and that is Beatrice taking a nap on the bed...they (she and her sister, Ginger) can only get on that bed if there is a quilt laid out...don't want black hairs on the light cover. Not sure what the rule will be when my PC quilts are on there!

Figured I would show a picture of my 1st quilt too...when it was unwashed and still bright.....I learned the hard way not to use cheap fabrics and after just a couple years of use the fabrics are dull and wearing out so the quilt got a place on the wall in the living room instead of our bed.

I forgot to answer about backing...I haven't chosen it yet. I will probably check the sale fabric where I work and if I can find enough to use the same on both I will. Otherwise just get what I can for a good price.

What a practical and fun bed couch! And a great way to make use of low head-knocker section. Love all the windows in it.
I'm sure it is well used by kids, adults ..... and dogs too!
Do Beatrice and Ginger have their own quilts? :D

What a nice first quilt you have ... keep it forever, as a reminder!

So if ya have big pillows along the back then it can be a Daybed 'cause then it looks like a couch. It's so neat! Such a nice space.

My dd is working on quilts for the dogs. She has the top done for one of them...but goes in spurts on wanting to sew, so I am not sure when she will finish them.
