Great blocks! I love the border/stripe fabric Weezie.
RW what is the background fabric in your #51? Love it-I'm thinking of something like that for my sashings. If you know the name/manufacturer, I'd love to know. Here are my 51 & 52 |
Beautiful!
|
I've just cut out the fabrics for blocks #27 through #30 and hope to start sewing them tomorrow. Weezie, RWQuilts and JanRN, you are an inspiration to everyone in the group for your choice of beautiful fabric and adherence to the timetable. Honchey, I'm sure there wouldn't be the enthusiasm for the FW quilt if you hadn't figured the strip cutting and started the thread for posting photos of the blocks. Thanks to each of you. I hope to catch up before all of you post photos of #110 & #111. Belles

My goodness you ladies are quick--posting on the very first day! And what great blocks and beautiful fabrics. Great job everyone!
|
Very pretty blocks Auntjo--that rose fabric is to die for.
Jacob Bean!! Love it--thanks for the compliments everyone. Anne's right--this is such a depressing time of year (for me anyway) and we're smack in the middle of this project. We need to stick together and realize that now we're on the "downhill" side and I think everyone's blocks are getting prettier by the week. THANK YOU!!!! |

Beautiful colors in your blocks! I better be getting busy and get mine going. |
Quilting Nina Sue--great blocks! I love the grassy fabric in #51--so pretty and makes the block pop. How neat to have hawkeyes to do a hawk block!
Violet: Just love your blocks. That blue is bright and I like the pattern. You're doing such a good job of construction. Your blocks always look so crisp. |

GrannyQ love your blocks!! thought I had to tell you one of the bottom blocks in 51 is turned the wrong way. don't know if you noticed after posting the picture, but wanted to alert you before you started putting them together. I have done this and didn't find it until I was ready to quilt it. I had lots of unsewing to do.
|
JAGSD and Quiltingnonnie thank you both for the nice remarks. I think everyone is doing a beautiful job and isn't this fun? Violet

Thanks everyone, we are on official cyclone watch here in Far North Queensland. We have cyclone Anthony sitting off the coast and expected to turn and head towards land sometime between now and Monday. It is 2pm Saturday afternoon here. I went grocery shopping this morning to stock up and when DH was home last week he tidied up the yard and did a lot of trimming.
Will be hiding out in my sewing room and hopefully things won't get too bad here. Queensland has had enough bad weather to last us for a while. |
