Finally got my three strips sewn. This will be my last post for a week, as tomorrow we're going on a REAL train ride, destination Syracuse NY. Here's a peek:

Yep, that was the message! Don't know what's in it, but I'm sure you'll let me know!
I had intended to do my strips today, but Queenie decided to mess up with eyelashes! So, I've spent the afternoon frogging! Will get my strips done tomorrow.

My inclination is to leave those aside til later, cut the new ones as per this weeks instructions.

Here's my Clue #5 strips. This step was fun to do. I'll be keeping my eye out for other patterns using this technique. Labeelady, I took my two very young children on a train trip from Louisiana to Kentucky years ago and it was a wonderful trip. Hope you enjoy it.

Okay, I'm all caught up with the trip. I am curious to see what will happen next week. Everyone's fabric is looking so gorgeous.

Here are my parts so far. I did do three strips, just didn't throw the other two into the picture. Yes, I did change my "F" fabric to the turqouise. I really like it.

Wow, ya'll are fast. I have my strips cut and sewn together. Need to press them and then will do the diagonal cut either this evening or tomorrow and then sew them on Tuesday. I love seeing all the colour combinations.

Having trouble downloading pictures. But I have a question. I have never done any angle's before. Is there any certain way to sew these angles together to get my strip right?

JABA, Opps... not to but in... but ... A regular, standard, double, full bed are all the same, they always have been. Twin is Single. Queen is queen. King is King or California King. Regular King, is same as Two Twins together. King is a bit longer or you can buy "long" for someone tall.

As to there only Tigger fabric, I would have said, "I have never made a single fabric quilt, I call that a coverlet" and let her reply to that. If she only wants one fabrice, she wants a solid piece of fabric quilted to a back. But, yes, I would want to be clear on that before touching it. We all have different tastes, but cutting fabric, and quilting it is different. HTH.

Being attentive to the details for your customers may lose you one or two here and there, but in the long run... you will gain some who will return year after year. I've had the same quilter for 20 years, I would not let anyone else touch my tops. I can send her 1 or 5 at a time and know they will be returned to me exactly as I envisioned them for the price we agreed on, which is always very fair, and in a timely manner. I met her 20 years ago at a craft show in a small booth. Some times she treats me like I am her child, but that is ok... she treats my quilts the same way. You can't bottle that!! HTH.
