I had to rethink my fabrics also. I didn't have enough of the B fabric to do the mystery. So through my stash again, came up with this combo:

i am gonna be challenged with the 3 yards also if i pull from my stash. ut oh. i truly did not want to purchase more fabric.:) what to do what to do.
i like both of the posted colorways, one is nice and calm (i love that red fabric)and the other is a bright. fabriclovr i am almost sure i saw you post some black fabric with bright colored ribbons. was i seeing things? Here are my 1st installment blocks. Remember to look at the pictures closely so you get the correct fabric in the right place. In diagram III is shows fabric B on the bottom. I am almost sure that if you place it in the oppisite postition, your quilt will not turn out as they describe. If you are confused at this, look at the 1st colorway shown and then compare it to the directions. They put Fabric B (the one that we need 3+ yards for) at the top and bottom of the 1st block and on the bottom of the second block. I am glad that I caught that before I sewed them together as we are working 100% with bias blocks. They took me just about an hour to sew, press and trim off the dog ears. Cant wait for the 2nd step :) |

Na, your not seeing things. After I posted the colorway, I looked at it on the screen and did not like what I saw. I pulled a couple of different fabrics and posted that picture and took down the other one with the black ribbons.
