My blocks for March are done...

Everyone's blocks are looking sooooo pretty. hopefully the 15th is my next day off and I can catch up

I just stopped in to look at all the blocks for this month, they are all so pretty. At the rate we are going, we are all going to have some pretty quilt tops by the end of the year. Waiting on next months section.

Here are my blocks for March. I'm not altogether convinced about the colours of the second but I'm not going to redo it. I have finally got last months done. Where should I post them?

Oh I love the pinks, Pippa....Of course PINK is my favorite color..lol You can go ahead and post them here, just say they are February's.

Got the Broken Dishes block done for March. I seem to have to do it my way. "smile" I wanted the Paisley whole for the corners so reconfigured the block, making it a bit harder, but it all worked out.

This is going to be a great looking quilt. The fabrics you've chosen have such vibrance and lovely contrast .
The green one might look really neat if you replaced the solid green squares with your cream solid. I think the pattern that would emerge would be a "circle of blues" with a blue bowtie in the center.

I love the purples.

And is it just me, or does the block on the bottom far right strike everyone as an optical illusion? Sometimes I look it and I see the purple "loop" design. Other times I see 9 white rectangles laying on a purple bed.

Thanks everyone for sharing your finished blocks. All of them are so pretty.

I have been sorting donated fabric scraps by color and am almost finished. It was several years of donated scraps and what a task! Thankfully, some youth helped me last Sunday for a service project. :). Now I just need.to keep the new incoming scraps sorted as soon as I get them and to find time to make quilt blocks from them! Lol!

Now it's time to decide which colors to use in the March blocks.

Such pretty blocks being made, great job. Zozee, I took your suggestion and replaced the little squares on the 'green' block with the cream color and YES, looks much better. Thanks for the idea. :thumbup:

Ok, here is the revised block. It does look a lot better. Not sure why I didn't 'see' it earlier..oh well.....

I hope all in the upper/Eastern states are safe. I can't believe how much SNOW you're getting, gosh..and we're headed up in temps, again.. It's just not fair we didn't get any snow this winter!!

That block looks great ! I can really see the design stand out now.

Actually, the snow way underperformed the predictions. In our area, they kept calling for 12"-18. I thought, "Oh, maybe 8, they always exaggerate." We got maybe 5. But on top of that a vicious sleeting and big chunky ice blowing every which way. It's quieted down now. Cold, crystally, windy, icky winter mix.

Finished my February blocks yesterday and hope to get started on March's today. Still digging out from yesterday's blizzard - 2 feet of snow here. My son lives 2 hours west of us and got 4 feet of snow! C'mon spring! BTW, beautiful blocks, ladies!

Please be careful 'digging out'. Hope you're keeping warm and sewing a lot. :thumbup:

Nice block, I like this. I haven't even started on mine other than starting to cut them out. So discouraged. We too got dumped big time with snow. Between that and my foot making it next to impossible to stay on my feet for any time, I am falling behind in everything. But will keep on keeping on till I get there. Everyone's blocks are looking good.

AnngelAnne: You can do it with baby steps. I know how things slow down with lots of snow. I hope your foot feels better soon.
