Everyone has some great blocks this week. My fabric is cut and I will be sewing them tomorrow afternoon. I just have 5 more blocks left to cut fabrics for...I like having all the cutting done so I can just sew some days.

I had never pre-cut my fabrics when doing pp. I just "hacked & wacked". I do like precutting for these larger blocks, probably won't do it for smaller ones. I learned something new here-thank you.

Jan--I have gone through and measured/precut fabrics for most of my PC blocks too. I guess I just like having them in an envelope to grab when I am ready to sew. However for some of those odd triangles, the "hack and wack" job would be easier as I can't always figure out which direction to measure and get them the right size!

I really like that this author had the measurements figured! Makes life much easier.

I always leave about 1/8th of paper on the edges over the cutting line and when cutting pieces for the sections I always cut at least 1/3rd" larger all around.

The blocks that have been posted since last week are so varied and so cute! When they are all finished wouldn't it be fun to have them all together like a quilt show?

Here are Patti's and mine for this week. I will keep checking back to see the others!
