Just a note too shadoh--next week there will be separate block threads for each month. This will be the place we can "chat". Welcome aboard--you make spiker # "I don't know" and I say the more the merrier! Okay I have a lawn to mow before the day gets too hot!

It's like getting to know your new neighbor who quilts...I love to see new quilts in a new neighborhood. This is a beginning of a journey together, on SYE. GardenGal said it very well, I think in her statement above, we welcome one and all. We have shared the fabric candidates for SYE. I love quilting and seeing what others have done, and it strengthens my believeth, that there will be some exceptional blocks appear in the other thread where we post pictures of our SYE. Hey, mine will not be the best, but the best that I can do the block...and I will share with a smile and love in my heart. And respect what the others share. That's the QB way.

Hello, I know I am late to jump in, but I'd like to join. I know some of you from the Rosie quilt (I just have 6 blocks to go on that still). I still have to pick fabric, and I am very likely to fall behind, but I will try. I have the first 2 hexagon SYE done, but then they changed the blocks......I think I am going to do this in rainbow-so the first block will be in shades of red. Or not. I'm never sure how things are going to turn out because I keep changing my mind.

Marne from Ohio, you are not too late; those of us who did the PC know how many of us ride drag, or way behind the others, 'cause we stop in the virtual RV and chat a bit, share some recipes, life gets in the way, etc., welcome to SYE.

Join everyone in the virtual RV, we will greet you with a smile and welcome you to the neighborhood. Dublb might bring the marshmallows to eat outside by the campfire. Tea, coffee or your favorite beverage. I like Cherry Coke.

Ha ha!! It's a full size vintage Diesel QuiltE. He's English, which loosly translates to "train watcher". The Brits do love their trains.

Welcome Marne!! Not late at all as the official start date to show our blocks isn't until this coming Tuesday (09/03). So you're right on time!

heck ... even if you were late to the ball, we'd still find you a seat

Not to worry ... I had that all figured out!
We have some fanatics like that here ... and a local revival of a Steam Engine Train where you can do a circle route. I'd SO like to do it in the fall, to enjoy the leaves. Though you don;t get to drive it, like your man will!!
