So much more 'eye' candy to see. Top of the line everyone of them. It is so nice to sit here out of the heat, and view the lovely quilts again and again. Thank you one and all.
Mirabelle, your quilts are always wonderful to see, and now we had a 'peek' at Mr.M., too. Cute.
CindyA, those basset hounds are delightful. They have such an adorable expression to their faces, it brings a smile again and again. Their image would make a perfect quilt! Country bride was well done by you and by the quilter. AS your others were as well.
Gramquilter2, loved your pictures of your quilts, outstanding job.
Dungeonquilter, fishing in the dark is a great quilt for a man!
Yeah, for the fishing quilts and mine failed to load..back to see what the problem is, maybe later...I can post.

They are stack & whack stars. This is my third stars, and I am planning a couple more. I had to add to each of the rows and add and extra row to the pattern to get the size I wanted. The borders kept growing as well. I think it ended up about 120x120.

Two gentlemen, cousins, ended up with two quilts in memory of my FIL, as a 'Thank you' for all they did for him: The 'deer' for the one who gave him deer meat from the home place for 25 years; and the second one was the fishing quilt"Fishing version of bear paws, and the Iowa canoe pattern, with brush along the river/lake way.

This is the first full size quilt I made. Quite easy ... a 10" square with black sashing and a border made from the scraps. It was also my first attempt to meander (in the outer black border). The main of the quilt is straight line stitched "tic-tac-toe". This one is living in England at my step daughters.

Funny story about the above quilt ... I'm a self taught quilter and I had NO idea how to properly cut long strips for the sashing. I thought I needed a very long straight edge .....
So I brought the fabric to my husbands shop, laid it out on the cement floor and used a 12' length of aluminum as my "ruler" and cut in a long straight line (yes - rotary cutter against cement!!).

I'm kind of stuck on finishing the block I've been working on ... can't decide which fabric to use in the center.
When I get into a "quilters block" (whether it be for fabric or quilting), I lay my project on my cutting table. My sewing room is directly opposite the bathroom and at the beginning of the hallway to the bedroom ... so I pass it frequently. I look at my project in all different lights of day and eventually it will just come to me.
Currently on day 3. No epiphany yet.
